It's Voting Season Y'all! - Best of the Brazos Valley
It’s that time of year! Brazos Life is hosting “Best of the Brazos” in which we as community vote on our favorites in a variety of categories. Who has the best hamburger? Will the battle of the chicken finger continue? These questions gave us the idea to put together some of our favorites. Warning: There are photos of delicious food approaching.
Dat Dog - Dat Dog is a gourmet hot dog chain based out of New Orleans. They offer delicacies like alligator and duck sausages with a huge list of sauces to choose from. Their Spicy Chipotle Dog is so great! Oh yeah, all my vegan foodies out there, Dat Dog has got you covered with options also. Paired with your favorite beverage, Dat Dog has been a great addition to Bryan/College Station!
Hopdoddy Burger Bar - We love Hopdoddy! Granted they did originate in the land that we will not mention, but hey who doesn’t like a redemption story. Their Goodnight/Good Cause Burger is everything you want on your burger (with a plot twist). You have to try their drinks! The bartenders really glue the great environment together. Seriously guys… Tip your food friends.
Bon Appetea - Now we love rooting for the underdog. The banh mi was fresh and filling! Of course, you think with a cheap sandwich comes cheaper quality. Not here. You taste each ingredient. The savory flavor of the char-grilled lemongrass pork does not over power the cucumber and pickled carrots. Their taro milk tea also deserves a seat at the table. The fresh sweet drink helps the meal clean up well and make lunch well worth it.
MOD Pizza - Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! We know we are late. MOD Pizza was such a different experience for us. Usually meals for us are curated by our review coordinator. This time we were free. That night we created “The Heavy Veggie”. If you have been hesitant to add cool new things to your pizza, just start with artichoke. It is the “meat” of our pizza mod. MOD Pizza is set up in the newly developed Jones Crossing Shopping Center. Go ahead and give them a try!
We hope you think of your favorite restaurants and businesses when you are voting!
