Weekend Shenanigans - October First Friday
If there was a moment that could best describe the atmosphere of Historic Downtown Bryan on First Friday, it's Sunday lunch. Everyone sitting at the table enjoying grandma's home cooking. People talking about their week, tests, and new discoveries. Walking from storefront to storefront, this is the narrative of our city.
The first Friday of each month, vendors and citizens come together in the heart of Bryan, Texas. Stores have the opportunity to connect with new customers by putting their best foot forward. You may even find something different in one of you favorite shops.
Inside of the Purple Turtle Art Studio, there was The Blue Sofa Orchestra playing fun jazz tunes, little tidbits at a table displaying information about Empty Bowls, and variety of other displays for on-goers to interact with. We also loved Market 1023. The warm and friendly place showcased locally handcrafted works. There was something that was beautifully curated about the beautifully handcrafted pieces in their space. It's moments like these that we are proud of. To be a part of something bigger than us. To be a family.
